BRISTOL – The global sports juggernaut ESPN, and especially its many sister networks, have long been the broadcast home to a wide array of sports-ish competitions, including nine-ball, hot dog eating contests, the national spelling bee, and of course poker. Now, in what some are seeing as the most risky, risqué, and raunchy move the media conglomerate has ever made, ESPN will begin airing the world series of strip poker on their sister network ESPN XXX.

When asked about the move, ESPN President John Skipper was quite blunt. “Our demographic is mostly adult males between the ages of 18 and 34. Of course folks will be expecting to see scantily clad ladies in the poker contest, but what viewers don’t yet realize is that, like regular poker, most strip poker players are male. And poker players don’t spend much time at the gym. That said, we do expect it to be a ratings bonanza, at least as far as our sister network ESPN XXX goes. The highest rated show on ESPN XXX to date is Rodeo Clowns.”
